A MUSIC LABEL DEDICATED TO ARABIC-MOROCCAN repertoires

 

Founded in 1995 by Abdennasser Benjelloun in Brussels, Fassiphone's reputation has been built on repertoires such as raï, chaâbi, music from the Rif and Atlas regions, souss music, mystical and religious repertoires and Arabo-Andalusian music.

 

Fassiphone has produced hits such as "Dana Dana", "Golou l'Mama" and "Laayoun Aynia", and has accompanied the careers of renowned artists such as Jalal El Hamdaoui, Tahour, Khalid Bennani, Cheb Rayan, Rima, Douzi and Rachid Kasmi.

 

Today, Fassiphone Music is devoted to organize concerts and promote a catalogue of over 6,000 titles. Gradually being distributed on digital platforms, it is available for compilations, copyright licensing and all other catalogue licences.

Following a first remix with over 15 million streams, Fassiphone Music and Deep Roots Records are teaming up once again for a new remix of the famous track ‘Dana Dana’, this time featuring the iconic Francis Mercier himself: a love story that continues to unfold! Available to listen to from 7 November 2025 on all platforms.

Since its very beginning, Fassiphone Music has built a reputation for organising events and major concert evenings in the heart of Brussels: Jedwane and Saïd Naciri at the Cirque Royal in 1997, the Auditorium 2000 and Forest National in 2000, with Tahour, Saïd Senhaji, Rachid Kasmi and many others. 
In November 2025, Fassiphone returned to the stage with a new evening concept named "Fassiphoniates" and a first date at the prestigious Flagey concert hall in Brussels.

Founded in France in 1983 by the Feddal brothers, Mondial Cassette Production Europe (MCPE) was one of the most important labels producing and distributing Algerian and Raï music in France and Europe at the time of the emergence of the latter genre.
